A small in-browser simulation of the RotaOS machine room: the six services, the rota command and the desktop that turns itself on and off.
This demo does not run the real RotaOS. The real RotaOS runs on the author's own hardware at home and is not offered to anyone. Everything here is fake: states, replies and timings are made up (and sped up).
The desktop turns itself on (and off)
A smart plug cuts standby power, UpSnap sends the magic packet, Guacamole opens the desktop in the browser. On shutdown a ping watchdog waits for 6 minutes of silence and then cuts the power. Here the minutes are sped up. Guacamole lives on the NAS: wake it from the terminal first.
